Celebrating Camden’s Progress: Finding His Voice, One Step at a Time

This past month has been a journey of growth for Camden, filled with incredible moments that remind us of his resilience and determination. With more intensive speech, occupational, and physical therapy sessions, he’s made strides in his balance, fine motor skills, and willingness to try new activities without feeling overwhelmed. Camden has even expanded his palate, exploring new foods each week! Every day, he’s showing us just how far he can go, and we couldn’t be prouder.

One of the most exciting new activities has been taking turns with Camden to mimic sounds and noises. This turn-taking approach has unlocked something special in him—it’s as if he’s finally discovering his voice! We’re at the early stages, and while communication can be challenging for those with SYNGAP1, these steps are a big deal. Watching him light up with each new sound is pure joy, and we can’t wait to see what he does next.

Camden’s determination shines through in every small victory. When things don’t come easily, he doesn’t give up. Instead, he tries different ways to reach his goal, showing more patience than ever. Our journey may have its hills and valleys, but we’ll continue to take each new skill and progress one step at a time, celebrating every single achievement along the way.

We’re so grateful for the support of his amazing therapists, our wonderful nannies, and, of course, our family and friends, all of whom have been a part of this journey. Together, we’re cheering Camden on and watching him thrive.

Here’s to Camden and all the incredible progress he’s making—one step, one sound, and one joyful moment at a time!
